Duties could be working with individuals with an I/DD diagnosis on building and/or maintaining life skills such as household chores, accessing their community, working on safety skills (in the home and community), and/or personal care skills. Also, they could potentially provide respite which is caring for an individual to give their primary caregivers/family a break from the stress of caring for someone so that the caregivers/family can take care of life responsibilities such as errands or just have a break. Sometimes making sure the person has meals/snacks is required.
Hours/Location:Saturdays: Noon to 8 pm (possibly later at times)Sundays: 1 pm till 6 pm.Kannapolis, NC area.
Job Requirements:For a job as a one on one paraprofessional,individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent (such as GED), be able to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug testing, and be able to provide their own transportation to and from work. Some of our positions require travel, so a driver’s license and reliable transportation is required for those positions.
